The Gold Medal- the goldmedal generally represents the highest medal award given for the greater accomplishment in a non-military field, with no restriction on eligibility.since the 1700's gold medals are awarded in the arts( eg. Royal Danish Academy) it is usually the symbol of an award to give an outstanding student soe financial freedom.others only offer Prestige of an award. Many organizations awarded now goldmedals are either anually extraordinarily including UNESCO and various acadeic societies. Most gold medals (as well at the olympic games) are gold plated. Notable exceptions made of solid gold are Lorentz medal, the United States award Congressional Gold medals or the Nobel Prize medal. the US congressional gold medal (pictured above)
























The Silver Medal- the silver medal is awarded to an athlete or athletes who had came runner up in a contest such as Olympic games.








The congressional silver medal- commemorative award authorized by the US congress to recognize citizens for noteworthy actions. The medals are specially minted by the United States Treasury. General Charles'Chuck' Yeager in 1976 he was the first recipient of such medals to have broken the sound barrier in 1947 in an experimetal aircraft called the BellXI.

The Bronze Medal- the bronze medal is awarded for 3rd place finishers of contests such as Olympic games, commonwealth games etc.... the practice awarding bronze third place medal had begun in 1904 during the olympic games in St Louis Missouri, prior which 1st and 2nd places awards were rewarded.



The Bronze US Star Medal- United states armed forces individual military decoration which may be awarded for bravery, acts of merit, or meritorious service is the brone star medal. When the medal is awarded for bravery, it is the fourth-highest combat award of the U.S. Armed Forces and the 9th highest military award (including both combat and non -combat awards) in the order of precedence of U.S. military decorations.

You are going well with your research and images. Some of these medals are not Olympic medals, however....
